Let's start in western Republic County... nearby Courtland, during the Spring and Fall visit the Depot Market and Cider Mill, to sample the produce, tour the orchards, and pick out pumpkins! The Courtland Art Center, features traveling art displays for your creative mind. Nearby in historic Scandia, a Scandinavian community, visit the Scandia Museum. See an unearthed lodge as you discover some of Republic County's earliest residents at the Pawnee Indian Village Museum in Republic.

Onward to the county seat, Belleville. Visit the Belleville High Banks Racetrack and High Banks Hall of Fame & Midget National Museum, especially during the racing season. In August, top-name drivers of midget cars from around the world compete on the "World's Fast Dirt Track" during the Midget Nationals in Belleville, Kansas. The North Central Kansas Free Fair is also held during the Midget Nationals, the second largest free fair in Kansas. Learn about the history of Republic County at the Crossroads of Yesteryear Museum in Belleville. Also, while you're in Belleville stop in Arbuthnot Drug Store for a piece of homemade fudge. After that you'll probably thirsty so check out The Purple Splash where you can get a drink from the Old Fashion Soda Fountain.

Republic County, renowned for outstanding hunting, offers some of the best hunting in Kansas, including deer, wild turkeys, quail, pheasants, waterfowl and other wildlife. Moving to the east side of the county, Czech out Cuba, Munden, Narka, and Agenda. Internationally known for its Czechoslovakian heritage, Cuba, was featured in a 2004 National Geographic Magazine, and now has a National Geographic Gallery to prove it! Visit Agenda, where you will find a mural of what Agenda used to be and what it dreams for the future. To take a piece of Republic County home with you visit the Tourist Information Center on North Highway 81 in Belleville for local arts, crafts, reading materials, and much more. Just west of the Republic County line you will find Lovewell Reservoir, offering an enticing blend of water skiing, boating, camping, and fishing.
